Class Descriptions


Level I: Fundamentals
Beginning level class for those new to Yoga.  Learn the basics of Anusara Yoga, proper breathing and awareness of movement in basic postures.

Level I/II: All Levels
Move from the subtle body and tap into a greater current of grace with The Anusara Principles of Alignment.

Level II: Expanding
Build on alignment and understanding of movement learned in Level I/II.  Explore the edge of inversions, backbends, and arm balances.

Yoga Hour: Play
One hour All Levels flow following the Anusara Principles of Alignment and life affirming philosophy of intrinsic goodness.  $6

All Levels Flow:  Hatha Yoga to connect breath and movement while dynamically flowing through postures.  Relax and awaken your spirit. 

Mysore:
Inspired by the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India, this is the traditional method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.  Students move at their own pace and receive individualized instruction.

Breath & Alignment/Internal Form:

These classes look closely at the detail of alignment and it's relation to breath, bandas, and dristi - tools used to focus attention on the body naturally.  Ashtanga Breath and Alignment is a beginner level class, and Ashtanga Internal Form is intermediate.

Yoga For Back Care:
This class is designed for those with scoliosis, however, anyone who wishes to create space where there would otherwise be compression, and strengthen supporting structures so that overworked areas can be released and relax, is encouraged to attend. Kundalini Yoga:  Use sets of asanas and movements with meditative focus, breathwork, and chanting, to strengthen the health and well being of the physical body.  Awaken awareness for emotional balance, mental clarity, stress relief, and personal transformation.

Yin Yoga:  Move through passive asanas that focus on opening the connective (yin) tissues of the body.  This is a candle light class.

Yoga Dance:
Yoga Dance is for the yogi or yogini who would love to explore his or her inner dancer! With live drumming and/or rhythmic world beats. Explore sacred... creative... joy-inspired movement. For all levels. "If you can walk, you can dance."
